Step-by-Step Guide:
 
Installing the Ice Washers:
Remove the Spool:
Remove the spool from your Shimano Aero reel by unscrewing the drag knob and gently lifting the spool off.
Remove the Retaining Spring:
Use tweezers to carefully remove the retaining spring located inside the top of the spool.
Remove Old Drag Washers:
Take out all of the old drag washers from the spool. Clean off any old grease and ensure the spool is dry.
Install the Ice Washers:
Replace only the old fabric washers with the new Ice Washers provided in the Quick Drag Kit.
Reassemble the Spool:
Reinstall the metal washers and Ice Washers inside the spool, securing them with the retaining spring.
 
Installing the Custom Bush:
Remove the Drag Knob:
Carefully remove the drag knob from the reel.
Remove the Retaining Spring:
Use tweezers to gently remove the retaining spring from the drag knob.
Install the Custom Bush:
Swap the existing spring inside the cap for the custom bush provided in the kit.
Reinstall the Retaining Spring:
Place the retaining spring back into the drag knob, ensuring it is secure.
Test the Drag:
Reassemble the reel and test the drag system. You should now experience a high-speed and high-power drag adjustment with just one full turn of the clutch.
